About KVK
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gunta, Bansur, was established on 28th March 2012 by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi under the administrative controlof ICAR - Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Sewar, Bharatpur. Alwar district has 14 tehsils and two KVKs one is KVK, Navgaon and other is KVK, Gunta, Bansur. Among 14 tehsils in the district, 7 are comes under the jurisdiction of KVK, Navgaon and 7 (Bansur, Behror, Mundawar, Kishangarhbash, Kotkasim, Neemarana and Thanagazi) under the KVK, Gunta, Bansur. The KVK situated 10.8 KM away in northern side from Basur town in Gunta village, Mehapur Road, Near Ram Nagar Tiraha (State Highway 52) in Bansur Tehsil of Alwar district, Rajasthan. KVK has been allotted 19.63 hectares land where Administrative Building , Farmers Hostel, differnent Demostration Units like as Vermicompost, Goatery, Nursery and Mashroom Production, Orchards of Ber, Pomegranate, Lasoda and Mother Orchard has been establisedh.
The mandate of the KVK is to imparting vocational training to the practicing farmers including, farm women, youth and extension functionaries in improved technologies in the field of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and other allied enterprises. It has additional responsibilities of testing and refining the developed technologies by conducting On Farm testing and popularization of new technologies throughfront line demonstrations at the farmer’s field.
