Services provided by KVK

 We are providing different services to the farmers such as trainings on different aspects of Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Husbandry, Schemes of Government and Home Science. Farmers are being educated for newly developed technologies. Farmers are getting seed of improved varieties of Mustard, Vegetables and Fodder crops. Facilities of soil and water testing is to be provided with the help of laboratories situated at district level. Awareness about animal health is created through organization of animal health camps and vaccination camps. For crop protection farmers are made aware about the seed treatment and if there is any outbreak of diseases in crops and animals. We are making diagnostic visits at farmer’s field and after diagnosing the problem, prescribe the specific treatments so that the farmers can get benefitted. Regarding the demonstration units we have been to established the different units at the KVK farm such as Nursery unit, Vermi-compost unit, Azolla unit, crop cafet area and Goatery unit for the demonstration of technologies to the farmers.In spite of this we are also providing the services as resource persons and deliver lectures in different trainings conducted by allied departments and also giving the advisory services through telephone, newspaper, m-Kisan portal, KVK Whatsapp group and different magazines.
